“My Type”

The brief asked us, how do you encourage Deloitte employees to sign up to donate blood? But the real brief was how do you get B.D.E past Deloitte?

Deloitte x NHS wanted us to create an awareness campaign on blood & plasma donation in the UK. Leading us to host a recruitment drive to encourage people to sign up to find out their blood type who would then go onto to donate.

We thought about the challenges that surrounded blood donation and the misinformation around who and why a person should donate blood. In these discussions it became very clear that firstly people didn’t know their blood type (ourselves included) and we needed a fun, clever way to engage and bring people in to check.

Taking influence from dating apps and the style of flirty language, we created the ‘My Type’ poster activation. Using a play on words with popular phrases used to flirt to communicate key facts about blood and plasma donation.

It was a two day event and resulted in many sign ups and a lot of employee engagement, that even inspired an honorary line ‘after work pints’.
