This barbie is old and that’s okay.
What were you doing when the cultural phenomena that was Barbie happened this summer?
My colleague and I were finishing up on an interesting brief around ageism in the UK. So in an effort to taper off those creative impulses and wanting in on the Barbie fun, The Real Barbie was born, with the assistance of Midjourney AI.
We did have bigger goals for it could have been (see below) but you know how it is with legal and time constraints. So we opted for the next best thing.
A fun, quick and topical social post that riffed on the ‘This Barbie…’ promotional ads, and encouraged discussion around ageism, beauty standards and Barbie.
As you can imagine it went down pretty well on LinkedIn and received a positive reviews and great thought piece on Little Black Book that you can peak at here.
